From the class that we saw I can take the next conclusions respect to the magic movieproject
The first movie Harry Potter is represented by a cold color gamma. There are colors like the black magician’s suit that everyone wears in the room. When the light colors, such as the gold of the chandeliers appears, an old effect makes them look like they has been used for many years so that it makes the environment appear somewhat a mysterious thing which is full of secrets. That is obviously the idea. The room walls are made from a type of stone which is white but with all the years it turns dirty so the walls are dark even being white originally, then all the magicians are in the room hearing the words of an old man dressed with a blue, old and dirty suit. When the old man stopped talking he introduced a group of ladies that entered at the room dressed in sky blue. The meaning of this color is delicate and fancy because they are beautiful ladies with a lot of class. They enter making the image of the room a little bit happier to our sight because they make contrast with the dark colors of all the other members in the room; they enter with a kind of introduction that consisted on light soft moves. Then another group of guys entered with northern European characteristics. They seem to be all strong and they came in making fire when they hit the floor with sticks and the fire red makes another contrast with the room and all the rest of the people that is watching in the room, I think that the red of the fire means strength and power, that’s all the colors I can describe on the scene.
Stealing Beauty
The scene from the beginning shows a lot of bright colors of trees and beige painted houses than are separated with green spaces, I think that it’s a Mediterranean zone specifically a touristic area, the color means to me like the girl who is the protagonist of the movie is looking for a new beginning or a big change. The big vineyards give a flat olive tone, that is very relaxing and introduces you in What I think it’s a good place to start a new life. The girl wears bright color too I think that she is not mysterious at all and like the environment she just don’t have nothing to hide and is happy of being there and she looks over the window the colors at the side of the car and for me is obvious that she is seeing all those colors and environment for first time and that it’s what she wants a bright new life full of color
I have planned to my first mosaic a combination of cold colors with little contrasting parts of bright color in the middle as the sky blue and the red, for my second mosaic I’m thinking on put lot of green flat tones like the vineyards and other bright colors.
